Gleitlager Permaglide PAP Buchsen are a type of bearing used for maintenance-free dry running or lubricated applications. Here is some equivalent information about Permaglide PAP bearings in English:
1.Caspar Gleitlager offers Permaglide P200 Bushings, which are rolled plain bearing bushes designed for oil lubricated applications. These bushes are made from the material Permaglide® P200 and can be manufactured according to the DIN ISO 3547 Form C standard.
2.KS PERMAGLIDE provides two material groups for Cylindrical Plain Bearing Bushes PAP:
Group P1 materials are suitable for maintenance-free dry running applications.
Group P2 materials are suitable for applications with minimal maintenance that require lubrication.
3.According to the KS PERMAGLIDE catalog, there are various variants of PAP bearings, including P1 Bushings and PAF Flange Bushings.
4.On the Misumi-EC website, you can find Gleitlagerbuchsen / PAP P10 made from Permaglide® Composite Material. These plain bearing bushes can be configured for an operating temperature range of -40° / +110° and allow for oscillating motion.
5.Caspar Gleitlager also offers Permaglide P10 Bushings, which are rolled plain bearing bushes designed for dry running applications and are made from the material Permaglide® P10.
Permaglide® plain bearings- the name Permaglide®, embodies the principle of permanently low-wear gliding.
The use of plastic on a metallic base material has created a material combination that unites excellent gliding properties with the load carrying capacity and heat conductivity of metal. The use of solid lubricants in the plastic matrix allows operation without oil or grease lubrication – these are Permaglide® plain bearings in material group P1, incl. P10. It is not always possible to accomplish the tasks of a plain bearing application with products made from maintenance-free materials, however. In such cases, low-maintenance P2 materials are available.
Depending upon customer requirements and specific applications, a number of maintenance-free and lowmaintenance materials are available with identical microstructure. A porous bronze sinter structure applied to a steel or bronze back and is impregnated with the respective plastic mix. The solid lubricant produces a film between the sliding surfaces. It attributes to low-noise operation at constant speeds and low coefficients of friction throughout the entire service life of the component. This is achieved by means of a mixture of (Poly Tetra Fluoro Ethylene) with wear-retardant and thermally conductive additives.
It is not possible to find the desired solution for plain bearing applications with products made of maintenance-free materials for all duties and applications. For such duties and applications, low-maintenance materials are available. In this case, the sliding surfacetaking up the wear load is formulated from a PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride) matrix.
Gleitlager Permaglide PAP Buchsen Equivalent is a leaded, robust sliding material with maximum tribological performance. It is designed for maintenance-free, dry-running applications, but can also be employed in systems with liquid lubrication.

The solid lubricant mass is produced in a specially adapted mixing process. In a parallel, continuous sintering operation, bronze powder is sintered onto the steel or bronze back as a sliding layer. This produces a sliding layer with a thickness from 0.2 mm to 0.35 mm and a pore volume of approx. 30 %. Next, the cavities are filled with solid lubricant by means of impregnating rollers.
This process step is controlled in such a way that a running-in layer of solid lubricant up to max. 0.03 mm thick is produced above the sliding layer. In further thermal treatments, the characteristic properties of the material system are adjusted, and the required thickness tolerances of the composite material are produced using controlled roller pairs.

To reduce the coefficient of friction and improve thermal conductivity, special additives are mixed into the matrix. In addition, the surface of the sliding layer may optionally be equipped with lube bore relieves to accommodate grease or oil.
For Permaglide®, bearings for extremely high performance requirements, has formulated and applied a PEEK (Poly Ketone) plastic matrix that is compounded with special nano-scaled fillers to improve its tribological properties.
Similar to engine bearings, increasing technical demands and minimized installation clearance determine the development efforts for Permaglide® bearings. In accordance with customer requirements, not only are the geometries and shapes selectively developed but are optimised as sliding surface systems where purpose-adjusted kinetic momentum of the sliding pairs are taken into account. Moreover, customers need not adapt design of their assemblies to the sliding element; the Permaglide®-bearing optimally adjusts to the assembly design.
