Kevlar, originally known as Kevlar in English, is also translated as Kevlar or Kevlar. It is the brand name of a kind of aramid fiber material product developed by the United States DuPont Company. The material was originally called "poly (p-benzoyl-p-phenylenediamine)", and the repeating unit of the chemical formula is -[-co-C6H4-CONH-C6H4-NH -]- the amide group attached to the benzene ring is the para-structure (the interposition structure is another trademark product named Nomex, commonly known as the fireproof fiber).

The material is made of all kinds of high quality metals, and the surface is covered with PTFE and other additives, which are low friction and wear resistance knitted fabric materials. This material structure has higher load carrying capacity and longer service life than ordinary three-layer composite materials. The base material can be low carbon steel stainless steel. Used in agricultural machinery, construction machinery, automobile chassis parts, ball valves, butterfly valves, water pumps and chemical industry, such as heavy and low speed but can not refueling occasions. The substrate material is stainless steel 316, American Hastelloy Inconel 625, 254SMO, S31803 (F51), etc.

Kevlar fiber properties
1, permanent heat resistance and flame retardancy, limit oxygen index LOI is greater than 28.
2, permanent antistatic.
3, permanent acid and alkali resistance and organic solvent erosion.
4, high strength, high wear resistance, high tear resistance.
5, in case of fire no droplet production, do not produce toxic gas.

Self-lubricating plain bearings have such excellent characteristics as impact resistance, corrosion resistance, small vibration, low friction coefficient, wide application temperature range, large bearing capacity, long life, maintenance-free, no lubricating pollutants and so on. They are widely used in aerospace, light industry, railway machinery and other fields. As the core component of self-lubricating plain bearing, the performance of self-lubricating material determines the service performance and life of the bearing to a great extent. The excellent friction and wear properties of PTFE/KEVLAR fabric liners make them very popular self-lubricating materials for bearings. In order to make the fabric gasket play a role, it must be bonded on the friction surface of the inner and outer ring of the bearing. The stability of the bonding directly affects the performance of its own performance, and ultimately determines the performance of the self-lubricating plain bearing. However, PTFE fiber and Kevlar fiber are very difficult to bond, so it is necessary to properly treat the bonding surface and select the appropriate bonding parameters, so as to obtain a better bonding strength.
