Pile drivers equipped with DX steel backed bushings are designed to enhance durability, wear resistance, and overall performance in pile driving applications. DX steel, often referred to as duplex stainless steel, is a highly specialized alloy that combines the properties of austenitic and ferritic stainless steels. This combination results in a material that offers excellent corrosion resistance, strength, and toughness.
The DX steel backed bushing in a pile driver serves as a critical component, providing a wear-resistant surface that interfaces with the pile or other driven element. The bushing's DX steel backing ensures that it can withstand the high impact forces and abrasive conditions encountered during pile driving operations.
The use of DX steel backed bushings in pile drivers offers several advantages. Firstly, the corrosion resistance of DX steel helps to extend the service life of the bushing, reducing the need for frequent replacements. Secondly, the strength and toughness of DX steel provide a more reliable and durable interface between the pile driver and the pile, minimizing wear and damage to both components.
In addition to its material properties, the design and manufacturing of DX steel backed bushings are also crucial for optimal performance. The bushings are precision-engineered to fit the specific requirements of the pile driver, ensuring a secure and precise fit. The manufacturing process typically involves precision machining, heat treatment, and surface finishing to achieve the desired properties and performance.
Overall, pile drivers equipped with DX steel backed bushings are designed to provide superior durability, wear resistance, and performance in pile driving applications. The use of DX steel ensures that the bushings can withstand the demanding conditions encountered during pile driving operations, extending the service life of the pile driver and reducing the need for maintenance and repairs.

Pile driver bushings
Pile driver is used to driving piles into the soil to provide foundation support for buildings or other structures. The term is also used to refer to a construction worker working with a piling rig. One type of pile driver USES heavy weights placed between guide rails to enable vertical sliding. It sits on top of a pile. Weight gain, which may involve hydraulic, steam, diesel, or manual labor use. When the weight reaches its highest point, it is released and hits the pile, driving it into the ground.

Metal-Polymer Self-lubricating and Maintenance-free Bearing Solutions
Suitable for rotating and oscillating movements, less maintenance due to long lubrication intervals, less wear, less sensitive to edge loads, no water absorption and therefore no swelling, good shock absorption, good impact resistance.
POM composite plain bearings are suitable for applications that require minimal maintenance in difficult operating conditions. As a result of the lubricant holding pockets on the sliding surface, POM composite bearings are especially suitable for applications in contaminated environments, where the lubricant cannot be supplied continuously or frequently.
1. POM thickness 0.30 ~ 0.50 mm. Providing high wear resistance and low friction even with a minimal volume of lubricant, this bearing surface has a pattern of circular indentations which should be filled with grease during bearing assembly.
2. Thickness of sintered bronze powder 0.20-0.35 mm. A special composition of powdered copper is thermally fused to the steel support. This contact layer acts as an anchor for the layer and moves heat build-up away from the bearing surfaces.
3. Low carbon steel. Establishing the base of the bushings, the steel back provides exceptional characteristics of stability, load and heat dissipation.

The holes must be filled with lubricating grease during initial assembly |
POM composite bushings are suitable for applications where a sliding material with self-lubricating properties is essential.
POM composite plain bearings are designed for marginal lubrication. The sliding surface of these plain bearings contains grease reservoirs that must be filled before assembly. There is no need to re-lubricate these plain bearings, but the presence of lubricant can significantly extend the service life of the plain bearings. Grease may be applied periodically to protect the counterface from corrosion.
