•PTFE SLIDE BEARINGS SELECTION GUIDE
•Before assembly, make sure the inner surface of the seat hole is smooth and free from foreign bodies to avoid scratches during assembly.Assembly should be used to slowly pressure into the core shaft, no direct knock shaft sleeve to avoid deformation. In order to make the assembly more simple and not destroy the wear-resistant layer, the end face of the shaft must have the chamfering Angle to be too smooth. If possible, please coat the shaft surface with grease to shorten the travel time of the shaft sleeve. Liquid nitrogen freezing is recommended for non - rolling thick - wall bearings.

•Calculate the overall load of the structure as this will indicate the total area of the PTFE slide bearing required at an appropriate temperature and pressure
•Consider the function and rigidity of the structure to determine the quantity and positions of the PTFE slide bearings.
•Take account of any unusual conditions that will affect the PTFE slide bearings during operation, such as the temperature at the sliding interface, angular misalignment and the need for acoustic or vibration damping
•The type of adhesive used is determined by the temperature range at which the PTFE slide bearings will be operating. We ask therefore that this information is specified on all enquiries
•Determine the most suitable method of fixing the PTFE slide bearings to the installation
•Consider the operating environment and select the type of steel for the backing plates accordingly

All analyses regarding the mold and pattern designs are being performed in our own premises in order to guarantee a constant casting level and quality.
 

VIIPLUS is a bearing material which consists of a unique fabric weave of PTFE/ Glass fibers which is bonded to a stainless steel backing with a durable adhesive. The extremely low friction surface provided by PTFE fibers combined with a structural support and a surface for bonding coming from the use of glass fibers. Stainless steel backing provides extreme load-bearing capabilities beyond the range of solid PTFE and any other solid lubricant bearing.

VIIPLUS Bearings are a unique thin wall bearing design that offers the strength and stability of a stainless steel body with the low coefficient of friction (.05-.1) and tribological properties of a reinforced PTFE matrix. With a max bearing load of 50,000 psi and the ability to withstand temperatures up to 350°F, our VIIPLUS bearing is dimensionally stable, self-lubricating, non-conductive, and non-magnetic.
